I am 23 years old as of 29 Nov. 98 and I was born with oma. It seems to run in my family. Other than myself, my father's brother had it and his,(my uncle's), two children have it. In my immediate family I was the only person to contract it. My father did not have it. My concern is that I STILL have it. From the text I have read the congenatal deseise, oma, is supposed to get better and even dissapear after child-hood. So I was hopping for a responce concerning WHY I have not yet come over this. I would also like some info to send to my cousin. He is still young, but his oma is worse than mine was when I was his age. It is starting to affect his social life and is seriously hurting his self-esteme. He has received no corrective therapy and I would like to help him avoid the teasing I got for oma when I was his age.
