Hello! my daughter Stacy was diagnosed with OMA at 7 years of age. From the time she was 6 months, she had seen a development doctor, had a brain scan done, attended a special language pre-school at 3-4,
All test came back normal, except for her vision test at 6 Months, she had eye surgery at 2 years of age for her muscles.Everything doctors had said she couldn't do she had done.Stacy had made honor roll through school, even if it takes her a little longer to read, she is very determine to do well in life.I do know I have to keep the school informed, she didn't always have understanding teachers. Stacy is about 15, she had made varsity on the swimming, I have always treated her normal and never gave up on her. The neurologist said she'll never ride a car, we'll see aboutit. No one knows what caused it, but my theory is the drugs the doctors used to induced labor.
