I am a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, and very interested in your search. I
have a 9 year boy on my caseload, and I believe there is only one other in CO
who has qualified for Vision services according to the Colorado Dept. of
Education with OMA. This is a bright student who scored the lowest in grade
taking our CSAP which measures academic achievment. The student is
receiving occupational therapy in addition to consultation services from me. I
just discovered this web site and have not read all the literature and
information available. I am very interested in remedial stratagies, adaptations
and accomodations, and of course tests available for OMA. It would be most
helpful to learn the stages children go through till they eventually (typically)
grow out of the condition, and what was done for these children to help along
the way. I would also like to put a paper together to give to parents and to
other Vision Specialists. Thank you for any help you wish to share. Carol
