Hi there! my daughter was diagnosed with oma when she was three months old...she didn't crawl until she was 9 months and didn't take her first step until she was 18 months. She is five now and just started kindergarten. She is smart as a whip (with a smart mouth to match) she just learned to swim on her own this summer and is getting involved with a local theatre group. She still lacks much coordination. We've learned to laugh together. She has no idea she is different so I don't treat her any different. I just keep a large stock of band aids on hand. I don't know what the future will bring but i'm sure she'll be just fine. Believe in your child and he/she can and will achieve ANYTHING!!!
god bless,
amy from Indy
